As someone whose whole job responsibility is to implement a value sales strategy and culture at a global industrial company, I was amazed at the clear and concise roadmap the book laid out. Not only is it filled with theoretical ideas of why it is important to create and document value for customers, but it gives a practical roadmap of how to transform a company into a value "merchant."

As most people in the world of sales know; today you either have to be the cheapest by line item, or if you're the best - you need to find a way to `explain this" so the purchasing, finance, production people can clearly see they are getting the best value for their organization. Without the ability to document the value that can be created and has been, you're left with little more than wishes and hopes, and finance people won't pay you for those.

The product itself is wonderful. I love that I can use shortening when I need to, such as a half and half with butter in cookies, in frostings, and so on, but not have all the icky overly processed crap that comes with it. The flavor of this is neutral and it works well for all sorts of culinary purposes.

I took off a star for VitaCost's packing of this. I ordered two containers of this. When they arrived, the box was damp. The two containers were in the box with no protection or way to keep them from bouncing around during shipping. As a result, one of the containers had split down the sides and leaked everywhere. I have contacted Amazon, who said they would contact the seller. I am still waiting for either a replacement or refund.

I can confirm that they are back to the old recipe. Coconut milk and water, nothing else. Consistency and flavor are very good. It's not as thick as Thai Kitchen, but I am guessing that's because they don't use guar gum as a thickener.
